Elizabeth Arden Lipstick Review: Pink Twilight [29]

7/21/2013 goodbyegone 0 Comments

Recently, I've really been getting into wearing lipsticks. As I don't wear very much make-up, I've noticed that a lipstick really brightens up my face and makes it look like I've put more effort into my make-up than I actually have.

The lipstick I've been loving for the past few weeks or so is the 'Elizabeth Arden Exceptional Lipstick in Pink Twilight'.

The lipstick itself is a matte pink. Although the product does have a bit of shimmer in it, it doesn't show up on the lips.

Ranging from £9-20, despite being a little pricey,  this lipstick definitely gives you what you pay for. The pigmentation is amazing and I find myself only having to apply one coat on my lips for it to last all day.

Colour: 10/10
Pigmentation: 9/10
Formula: 9/10
Overall: 9/10

(Please excuse the picture quality. Trying to photograph a pink lipstick in a pink room isn't easy)

How To: Lucy Hale's Waves

7/17/2013 goodbyegone 0 Comments

One of my biggest inspirations is Lucy Hale. I love her style and how confident she is in ev
ery aspect. One thing I am guilty of is copying her hairstyles. She always wears her hair very casual, either straight or curly, but always puts that little twist in it which makes it unique.

Today I decided to show you how to simply achieve her famous waves.

Before: I just washed and blowdried my hair. :)

Apply a heat protectant and brush through the hair. The one I used was the 'Schwarzkopf got2b guardian angle heat protection spray'.

Set your curling iron to it's lowest setting and curl all of your hair. I used my BaByliss curling wand to curl 1 inch sections of my hair.

Run your fingers through your hair to shake out some of the curls into a wavy style. Then add a texturizing spray to pull the waves apart and to give them more volume and shape. I used to 'Scharwzkopf got2b beach matt texturizing salt spray'.

^ And that's it! :) Do let me know if you've tried this out and if you'd like to see more of these types of posts!

Paris Loving...

7/10/2013 goodbyegone 0 Comments

Due to school and other plans, I'm not going on holiday this summer. It's the first year in a while that I haven't had any holiday plans so I am quite sad about that. However, I was looking through old photos to get me out of my misery and I found a bunch from Paris.

Paris is my most favorite city in the entire world. I've visited it a few times and last year I was lucky enough to go with some of my best friends. The whole trip was a whirlwind of excitement, laughs, love of the city and just a fun filled 5 days.

Here's a few photos to sum up the whole trip, day - by - day:

Of course I had to get Starbucks on the plane.

I'm the one in the pink and apparently also the one who took way too many photos here.

All these are from the rainy day we spent venturing around Paris and going on boat trips. Also the day in which Emma decided to make me (me being very afraid of heights) go to the top of the Montparnesse.
I'm glad she did though.

Extremely attractive faces on the POTC boat ride.

Me & Emma in Disney :)

Well, hi Mad Hatter!

It seems I get very excited about Toy Story....

To top it off... we had to walk up all these steps and around a few streets to find lunch. Let's just say we each extremely devoured hot dogs and chips once we found them.

Shop My Stash - Summer Edition

7/02/2013 goodbyegone 0 Comments

So, after watching this video, I decided I'd give it a go. Now, being a person who doesn't wear a lot of make - up, I decided to do a wardrobe edition. I went into my wardrobe and picked out 4 outfits which I am going to incorporate into summer. Doing this allowed me to put together different pieces of clothing. The outfits consist of my favorite pieces of clothing and also ones which I had completely forgotten about.

Outfit #1 is very casual, perfect for a summer's day. I paired my Forever 21 shorts with this flannel shirt from New Look. The shirt is not too heavy but also not too light which means that it will keep me warm enough regardless of  the crappy Irish weather.

Outfit #2 is perfect for living in Ireland. I paired my mint green jeans (Forever 21) with a light blue jacket (New Look) and my Beatles top (H&M) underneath. It was nice to find these items again as I had completely forgotten I had the jacket. I feel that this outfit is perfect for summer due to the light colors and just the overall feel of it. I can see myself wearing this a lot.

Outfit #3 also consists of items that I had completely forgotten about. I purchased the top and jeans in Bershka during my trip to Paris last year. I loved how light the jeans felt and they are super comfy which makes them perfect for running around in summer. I paired the outfit with this military style jacket which can be thrown on when it gets cooler.

For outfit #4 I paired this little crop top (New Look) with my high waisted skater skirt (Miss Selfridge). This is a more dressy outfit but with a pair of converse or sneakers it can easily be dressed down. I again threw on this jacket for warmth.

I had a lot of fun coming up with new outfits from what was in my wardrobe. A fun way to go shopping without actually spending money... or leaving the house. Which one is your favourite?

Introduction

7/01/2013 goodbyegone 0 Comments

Saying as I'm new to the whole blogging thing (apart from tumblr but I don't think I'd be wrong in saying that reblogging a few hundred pictures counts as blogging), I thought I'd introduce myself.

Hello. :)
My name is Lauren. I'm sixteen and I'm British/Irish - I never quite know which one to put as I live in Northern Ireland which means I can class myself as British or Irish, however, I tend to just stick down both. You'll come to know that I am a huge fan of music and I'm not lying when I say I like every genre. Taylor Swift deems to be the most dominant artist in my iTunes playlist and she means a lot to me. I really like Pretty Little Liars - the mystery, the fashion, the music, the love, the hope, the friendship and not to mention the cast isn't hard to look at ;) Most of my (virtually non-existant) money is spent on jeans or starbucks.
This blog is just a place for me to write down a bunch of things about fashion, beauty, music and lifestyle.

If you want to know anymore about me tweet me @stereohale and I will always answer.

Thank you so much for reading and welcome to my blog. :)
xo, Lauren.
